While the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly changed the way we conduct ourselves on a daily basis, people have still found a way to get out and enjoy the weather this summer. With Labor Day weekend being the unofficial end of summer, many people are eager to get a few more breaths of warm air before it turns cold.
Luckily, there are still a few things to do in Milwaukee for Labor Day weekend 2020. While some of the usual fun events are cancelled this year, you can still enjoy a few things. But we caution – please be safe, wear a mask and practice social distancing if you are venturing anywhere that includes crowds.
Milwaukee Labor Day Weekend 2020 Events Not Cancelled
Milwaukee Rally
The annual Milwaukee Rally Labor Day weekend events are still on for 2020 at area Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealerships. Like other years, motorcycles will ride into town and there will be live music and availability to see the new bikes the company has to offer.
Due to COVID-19, the event will be held completely outdoors at the dealerships, and people are asked to adhere to safety measures.
Fondy Farmers Market
For over 100 years, the Fondy Farmers Market has offered up one of the most diverse and large farmer’s markets in the state of Wisconsin. This has been running in 2020 from June 27 to November 1, and is an open air market that people can still enjoy. Due to the ongoing pandemic, visitors are asked to adhere to strict guidelines and provide distance for all shoppers in attendance.
Milwaukee Riverwalk
Enjoying views of the city and river is something that the pandemic can’t completely stop, and the open air riverwalk offers a great opportunity for people to get outside and enjoy the last big weekend of summer. The path goes from north to south and covers more than 20 blocks, connecting the Historic Third Ward, downtown and Beerline B.
While it might not be like years past, there are still some things to do, and getting outside remains to be very important for people of all ages. Like we said earlier, please focus on being safe while enjoying the time.
